I'm the kind of person who doesn't consider vegetarian food as food. Why? Because like thousands of other American I too hate vegetable. I've always liked meat and didn't understand why do people eat vegetable especially when it came to elder people.
Few years ago my dad started eating more healthy because he was diagnosed with high cholesterol. He stopped eating any kind of meat or sweet even milk tea. So that made me thinking and understand the effect of eating healthy. I met a guy at my college who was slim (of course good looking), played tennis, and ate healthy. What I noticed is that to be healthy or to lose weight, you don't need to leave all the good food you like.
I guess you can say he was my inspiration. I started playing tennis and a healthy diet. By the way if you're curious I'm only 95lbs. You may think "Omg she's already too skinny and she's on diet". Well let me tell you something. I've always wanted to stay slim even when I'm 60 yrs old. No, I DON'T want to lose weight, I just want to maintain my body. I realize it's part of growing up that your metabolism starts to slow down. I've always a skinny girl so suddenly growing weight kind of made me worry.
So what was my healthy diet you ask???
1. Eat Whateverrrrr you likeeeeeeeeeeeee!!! YES I SAID IT! You can eat whatever you like but remember to eat it in small portion. How do you know how small to eat. Well if you're just starting then eat half of what you used to. At first, it feels weird to eat less but your body gets used to it.
2. Eat every 2 hours. I get hungry more frequently because I eat so little. So I always keep snack such as almonds. good thing about nuts is that I suck on it don't chew it. It lasts longer in my mouth.
3. Eat lots of fruits. Another way to full yourself if you can't eat in small portion. Fruits won't make you fat but give your energy. It's summer so I usually eat watermelon, lychee, sweet mango, and orange sprinkled with salt and red chilli powder. I'm very picky on fruits and vegetable. >_______<
4. Also, if you can give up any carbohydrated food that is super awesome. Coming from a background where we eat rice and bread everyday is kind of hard.
5. I eat a bowl of veggie soup for dinner because the water fills you up. :D For lunch I eat whatever (includes turkey sandwich and cup noodles)
6. Exercise!! I know for someone us it's SUPERRRR hard! But here's what I do. I know if it's something too hard I will give up. So I looked up few exercise on youtube and found this. Do Squat(10) and lunge only 10 times for each leg, jump and jack (10), lower ab workout (where you lie down, bend your knee 90degree, and bring it forward to your chest to floor back and forth). That's it! That's my workout everyday. Except on Saturday I do 1 exercise and that too depend on my mood. I think if you can do ANY 10 minute workout, it's perfect.
I usually do my exercise in the bathroom while I brush.. lolll!!
Yepp!! That's my crazy routine. Today, I started eating salad for lunch and let me tell you I never knew salad could taste so great!!! I did include meat in it but mostly veggie and fruits. :D
*I'm so proud of myself*
I lost about 2-3 inches of my waste including love handles, got active, I feel my blood pumping all the time, I got WAYYY better sleep, and when I wake up in the morning boy oh boy, I'm jumping off the bed ready to face the world. It gives me so much energy. Also, who can resist looking good in the mirror? *wink*
No I didn't lose that much weight because I didn't/don't want to but I left my fat is going away and stomach and leg muscle is growing which is balancing out my weight and I'm in great mood most of the time. (Unless it's one of those days)
Well you know it's summer so what you waiting for?? Chop chop, you know you want to wear that bikini.. :D
